Friends of Literacy provides high-quality programs for adults in our community who need to improve their education to realize better job opportunities, pursue additional training, help children with school assignments, or simply better navigate our world. We serve approximately 200 adult learners each year. Friends of Literacy is a United Way partner agency and receives additional funding from foundations, donations, and special events.

DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANT 

Friends of Literacy is looking for a Development Assistant to help ensure that our fundraising activities are successful, our supporters feel valued, and the larger community knows about the important work we do. The successful applicant will be responsible for fundraising and marketing activities, social media, donor database management, and assisting the Executive Director with other work as needed. This is a part-time, hourly, entry-level position requiring strong Microsoft Office and writing skills, plus an in-depth understanding of social media platforms. VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR/PROGRAM ASSISTANT

Friends of Literacy is looking for a Volunteer Coordinator/Program Assistant to work with our Program Director to ensure that FOL volunteers and students successfully interface with our organization and have an enriching experience. Specifically, this position is responsible for volunteer management, administrative support for programming, and assisting the Program Director with other work as needed.
